Discover Europe from a new perspective through a selection of posters from the collection of the Fondation Jean Monnet pour l’Europe, in collaboration with Europe Direct at the Université du Luxembourg.

In 2022, a passionate collector entrusted the Foundation with a visual treasure: 5,000 posters, spanning from the post-war period to the present day, exploring the many faces of Europe. Some celebrate unity, others emphasise national sovereignty – but all reflect the spirit of their times, blendingpropaganda, marketing, humour, and political engagement.

Provocative, striking, or simply beautiful, these posters document Europe’s debates and hopes across the decades. A good drawing is worth a thousand words – come and see for yourself!
